Lincoln's HOPE Program provides integrated behavioral supports for students, families, and schools to develop tools and learning environments for academic success across all levels:
 
  • Student Counseling - Intensive services to students whose emotional and behavioral needs are creating obstacles to their success at school.
  • Teacher Consultation - General support, classroom observation, and consultation with educators to maximize student achievement and reduce behavior problems.
  • Whole School Supports - Working with administrators in the integration of school wide culture initiatives and climate improvement strategies, and the facilitation of counseling groups that address common student issues.

Dominic Gonzales

 
Dominic Gonzales has been collaborating with Hillview as a mental health clinician with Lincoln for a year. Dominic has been providing mental health services for 5 years and is excited to return to Hillview for a second year. He enjoys being able to provide mental health support to students in the school setting and collaborating with teachers and school staff. When he is not working, Dominic enjoys spending time with his son and family whether it's through cooking or hiking with their dog. He has a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy University and has enjoyed doing community-based mental health work for the past 5 years and he is excited to bring his knowledge and experience into the school setting.

Sarah Jackson

 
Sarah Jackson has been working for Lincoln since 2007, and since last year has been a HOPE Mobile Clinician at Hillview Junior High. She has worked with youth in Pittsburg, Richmond, and Oakland. She loves her job because she gets to give back to her community and help support kids towards a positive path.
 
Sarah likes most of her free time to be family time. She has 2 boys, aged 4 and 8 who keep her pretty busy, and she has one more on the way. The family enjoys going to the park, catching a movie, or going out to eat together.
 
Sarah received her Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Child Development from Chico State, and her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology. Most importantly, she is a proud Pittsburg native and graduated from Pitt High in 2000. Sarah is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

Jimena Salcedo

Jimena is a new addition to both the Lincoln and Hillview family. Previously, Jimena worked in a community based program focusing on intensive behavioral services for youth. Jimena enjoys working with youth and families by being creative, problem solving, and creating a collaborative environment to meet the youth's and family's goals and expectations. In her spare time, Jimena likes to bake, enjoys art and visiting museums, and spending time with her spouse and dog. Jimena received her master's degree in counseling (marriage and family therapy) from California State University; East Bay. In addition, Jimena is a bilingual Spanish speaker with experience working with monolingual caregivers/families.
